David Hayter "Would Have Loved" A Redo With Metal Gear Solid Delta
Briefly

David Hayter wishes he could have re-recorded dialogue for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater to apply acting improvements gained over the past two decades. Hayter voiced Snake in the first four mainline Metal Gear Solid games and views the role as definitive, complex, and profound. Kiefer Sutherland replaced Hayter as Snake in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain in 2013, a change Hayter has since come to terms with. Hayter remains open to returning as Snake if asked. Metal Gear Solid Delta launches August 28 on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, with a Fox Hunt multiplayer mode coming in the fall without cross-play.
I do feel that I'm a little better of an actor now than I was then,
It was fine back in the day, but I would have loved to bring some of the knowledge that I've picked up over the past 20 years to it.
Anytime they ask me to be Snake, I'm in,
It's the definitive role in my life. It's so complex and so profound, and there are so many different aspects to both him and Big Boss. So anytime it comes up, I'm down.
