In response, a modder created the Seamless Co-op (Nightreign) mod, allowing players to team up in pairs online. While this mod is in an alpha state and may have issues, it provides a workaround for fans. The creator, LukeYui, reassures users won't face bans for using the mod. FromSoftware's director noted that they may later offer official duo support as they continue to balance the game, which has sold 2 million copies so far.
