The Nintendo Direct showcased an impressive slate of games for the upcoming Switch 2 on June 5th, including major titles like Mario Kart World and remastered classics such as Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom. This launch will be complemented by games set for later release, like Donkey Kong and Metroid Prime 4. The backward compatibility feature allows players to experience many of their favorite Switch 1 titles with upgrades, enhancing the appeal of the new console to both new and returning users.
Many will launch on June 5th alongside Switch 2, including Mario Kart World, enhanced editions of Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.
Thanks to the Switch 2's backward compatibility with many Switch 1 games, you'll be able to play a lot of your Switch 1 library, including games that will be getting updates for Switch 2.
