GTA 6 Launch Could Help Improve Console Sales Significantly, Take-Two Boss Says
Briefly

Rockstar's upcoming Grand Theft Auto VI is anticipated to become the dominant game of the year, with projections exceeding $1 billion in preorder revenue and around 40 million copies sold in its first year. Take-Two's CEO Strauss Zelnick expressed optimism about the game's potential impact on console sales in a recovering market. He also highlighted a growing trend towards PC gaming. However, he cautioned that potential tariffs on console imports could negatively affect sales, complicating the overall market landscape in 2025.

I think the trend that you'd want to focus on is this increasing share of the market that is reflected in PC.
Tariffs could be negative for console sales. I'm a free trader so generally speaking I don't think tariffs are the right way to build or tax an economy.
We're expecting GTA VI to drive more than $1 billion in preorder revenue and sell 40 million copies in its first year.
