This change doesn't break the overall experience, but it sure can be annoying. I already have to bug my squadmates to click the "Ready Up" button when everything works, so now this adds an extra (and completely unneeded) step to that process.
The team disabled the button to "investigate an issue." Epic Games didn't specify a timeframe for when the developers would restore the feature but said that it would return in a "future update."
