Hollow Knight: Silksong will launch on September 4 and promises a substantially large, content-rich follow-up. The game features more enemies and almost as many bosses as Hollow Knight, and the map appears at least as sprawling as its predecessor. Multiple towns with friendly NPCs replace the single settlement model, and an elaborate quest system will guide players through progression rather than a purely self-directed approach. Team Cherry maintained significant secrecy during development, prioritizing building the game over public updates, and the project has accrued intense anticipation over six years of development.
Instead of popping up and bugging people for the sake of it, it felt like our actual responsibility was just to work on the game,
Probably at the time we thought we'd go quiet for a year or two, then the game would come out.
