The upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 will feature a new GameCube controller that combines traditional aesthetics with modern functionalities such as a built-in mic and GameChat features. Users can purchase it directly from the My Nintendo Store, launching on June 5. Sales will be limited to Nintendo Switch Online subscribers, aiming to curb scalping. Every Switch 2 game will also remain playable on the Joy-Con 2 and Switch 2 Pro Controller, which supports customizable controls, adding to the gaming experience.
At present, it seems as though the official Nintendo GameCube controller for Switch 2 will only be available to purchase through Nintendo's own My Nintendo Store site.
Nintendo has also confirmed that players will be able to check controls for each game using a system menu, and even remap them according to preference.
