Nate Fox, the director of the Infamous series, wishes to revisit the franchise but stated that Sucker Punch is currently focused on completing Ghost of Yotei. Since the release of Infamous: Second Son in 2014, the franchise has not introduced a new title. Although Sucker Punch expressed no plans to revisit Infamous or Sly Cooper, Easter eggs referencing both series appeared in Ghost of Tsushima. Sony has maintained openness to the idea of continuing the Infamous series in the future.
Nate Fox expressed a desire to work on more Infamous, stating, "I would love to see a trilogy rerelease, but Sucker Punch is a one game at a time shop, and right now we are very focused on finishing Ghost of Yotei."
Sucker Punch has been occupied with Ghost of Tsushima and its sequel, Ghost of Yotei, leaving little opportunity to revisit the Infamous franchise.
