It's Not Quite Player Housing, But WoW Players Can Earn An Apartment Soon
Briefly

World of Warcraft will allow players to earn their own penthouse apartments in the upcoming Undermine(d) update, which serves as a precursor to the anticipated player housing feature in the scheduled Midnight expansion. Players will engage in a quest to defeat a corrupt landlord and can claim the apartment in the game's goblin-themed environment, complete with a balcony for fast travel. This addition marks the first instance of a personal apartment after previous expansions provided players with shared living spaces like Garrisons and Class Order Halls.
Players will soon be able to earn their own in-game apartments in World of Warcraft, adding personal space ahead of full player housing in a future expansion.
To earn the apartment, players must complete a quest to overthrow a corrupt landlord, marking the first time they can acquire a personal living space.
