Monster Hunter Wilds features a complex co-op system that significantly enhances gameplay, making it challenging for players to connect with friends. To add friends within the game, one must locate their Hunter ID, which can be found in the Communication tab. Players can search for Hunter IDs to send friend requests and form Link Parties. Understanding these mechanics is crucial for maximizing the multiplayer experience and enjoying the collaborative aspects of hunting together in the game.
Selecting Invite a Friend will open your friends list (Steam friends, PSN friends, etc.) but it only gets them in your party.
To add someone to your friends list within Monster Hunter, you'll need their Hunter ID, which can be found on the loading screen.
This will reveal their profile, and a small menu will pop up to follow them, add them as a friend, and invite them.
Once you've added them as friends, you can check the Member List tab labeled 'Hunter Friends' to quickly add them to your party.
