Briefly

Capcom is gearing up for the release of Monster Hunter Wilds on February 28, with the first major post-launch update showcasing the Leviathan-class monster Mizutsune. This update, set for release in spring, will introduce new content alongside Mizutsune's ethereal appearance as seen in the launch trailer. Additional updates are planned, including a summer release featuring a new monster and free content. Players can also expect limited-time Event Quests after launch, while a day one patch will enhance PS5 Pro support with ray tracing.
Capcom has revealed that Mizutsune will be the first monster added post-launch, teasing the dancing Leviathan in the game's launch trailer.
Even though the update is still a while away, Mizutsune has been teased in the launch trailer for Monster Hunter Wilds, showing off the monster's ethereal appearance.
The first major update doesn't have an exact release date yet, but is set to arrive sometime in spring, shortly after the game launches.
Additional content will also be coming to Monster Hunter Wilds in the form of limited-time Event Quests, which players can complete to earn special armor.
