Ninja Gaiden 4 is coming out this fall

The much-anticipated Ninja Gaiden 4 was announced during today's Xbox Developer Direct after a long thirteen-year silence from the franchise. This iteration introduces a new protagonist, Yakumo, who battles through a dystopian version of Tokyo, while Ryu Hayabusa returns to play a key supporting role. Co-developed by Team Ninja and PlatinumGames, the game showcases signature mechanics like aerial combat, flashy slashing moves, and unique traversal abilities. Launching in fall 2025, it will be available on Xbox Game Pass and various platforms. Additionally, a surprise remaster of Ninja Gaiden 2 Black was released today.
Ninja Gaiden 4 marks the series' return, introducing new protagonist Yakumo, while longtime fans can look forward to Ryu Hayabusa's significant role.
Developed by Team Ninja and PlatinumGames, Ninja Gaiden 4 features dynamic aerial combat, traversal skills for exploration, and a dystopian Tokyo setting, releasing fall 2025.
