The recent Nintendo Direct revealed significant details about the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2, including its impressive specs and new features like built-in voice chat and game sharing. However, less glamorous improvements such as upgraded screenshot sharing and a revamped eShop are equally valued. The Switch 2 will enhance screenshot sharing via an updated Nintendo Switch App, making it easier to upload captures than the previous, cumbersome methods. These updates address long-standing frustrations of Switch users, ultimately aiming to elevate the overall console experience.
Fortunately, Nintendo is aiming to improve both with the Switch 2.
With that gone, your sharing options are to either connect the Switch to your computer via USB cable or scan a QR code to upload them to your smartphone.
Two of my biggest daily frustrations with the original Switch... are its lackluster screenshot sharing features and the near-uselessness of the eShop.
It's far from the platform's worst change, but one casualty of Musk's ownership is that console makers all turned off the ability to share captures to the site directly from your console.
