Phasmophobia, the cooperative ghost hunting game by Kinetic Games, has achieved remarkable success, selling over 22 million copies since its launch. As of 2025, the developers are rolling out various updates aimed at enhancing user experience. The first major update, named the Chronicle update, will modernize evidence collection by introducing a Media tab to archive spectral phenomena and sounds. Subsequently, the Player Character Overhaul will allow players to customize their avatars, moving away from the standard player appearance. Additionally, a new map modeled after familiar haunted houses is also planned for release later this year.
