Police arrest Bay Area 'Pokemon bandit' in connection with $2,600 theft

On July 7, the suspect allegedly met up with two people from an online marketplace to buy Pokémon cards at the 100 block of Nugent Drive in Vallejo, the Vallejo Police Department wrote in a Facebook post.
The suspect allegedly pepper-sprayed one of them in the face. The sellers were able to recover the stolen trading cards, which were worth $2,600, and reported the suspect to police.
Vallejo police recognized the suspect after the person was allegedly involved in a crash the next day near Tuolumne Street and Broadway Street.
The Vallejo robbery comes amid several other incidents in California involving Pokémon cards.
