The Pokémon Center has introduced five new Pikachu plushies featuring popular costumes. Among them, mad scientist and pop star designs are notable, yet two variations (Eevee and Pikachu) already sold out in the U.S. and Australia. Fortunately, they remain available in the UK online store. The release includes a variety of other plush items, like a Rotom Dex toy and a poseable Mewtwo. The article humorously suggests that increasing production could alleviate customer disappointment and boost profits for The Pokémon Company.
Five new Pikachu plushies have arrived today, each of them dressed up in costumes that'll be familiar to anyone who plays Pokémon Go.
At the time of writing they're still available on the UK version of the Pokémon Center, even after I bought one of each out of sheer FOMO.
There's quite a bundle, in fact, including a wonderful Rotom Dex form stuffed toy, some brand new versions of beloved regulars to the plush range.
A thing they could do is manufacture more of everything, and then make lots more money and disappoint far fewer people.
