The Sims 4's latest free update broadens representation by adding West African-inspired food, clothes, and furniture
"The game's latest free update adds new Build, Buy and Create a Sim items inspired by West African culture and designs. The new update is one of the more visually striking, made up of the sort of patterns and colours you'll see in art and culture originating from West Africa. There are several new items you can use to customise the look of your Sims."
"Beyond the new customisation items, your Sims can now also cook Jollof Rice with Chicken Drumsticks. There's an extra decor object in this update, too, made up of wooden bowls called Trio of Flavor. The bowls themselves include ingredients common in West African cuisine. And update like that won't quite work without a wardrobe of new fashion items with the same inspirations, and you're going to find a bunch of them in Create a Sim."
The Sims 4 released a free update adding new Build, Buy and Create a Sim items inspired by West African culture and designs. New objects include the Okuta Lamp with Woven Shade, Itura Cushion, Visions of Home Decorative Art, Wallu Woven Basket, Hiwe Area Rug, and West African Aloe Plant. Players can cook Jollof Rice with Chicken Drumsticks and place a Trio of Flavor wooden-bowl decor featuring common West African ingredients. The Create a Sim catalogue receives new West African-inspired fashion. Development involved the Pan African Gaming Group and Sims players with lived West African connections. The update also fixes over 150 community-reported issues and is available on PC, Mac and consoles.
