Since the launch of Borderlands 4 earlier this month, the game has suffered from performance issues on both console and PC. Players have also been upset about the lack of a field-of-view slider on console. Well, good news, Gearbox's latest patch for Borderlands 4, out now on all platforms, adds the missing FOV slider, improves performance and stability, and fixes a ton of other issues, too.
Manually adjusting the exposure slider is now smoother and more precise. Fixed an issue that caused unwanted tint in certain scenes, delivering more natural and balanced colours. Updated AI SuperRes Zoom algorithm to improve sharpness of texts. Improved Action Mode to reduce noise grains. Improved camera clarity for third-party apps. Improved Video Shooting: Videos now have better contrast and look less hazy and more vibrant.
Patch 2.31 brings improvements to the AutoDrive feature, making it more seamless. When autodriving to a destination on the map, the player's vehicle now drives smoothly, overtakes blocking vehicles, and no longer stops at traffic lights. According to the patch notes, free roam mode has also been upgraded to follow traffic rules. The patch also fixes issues with Delamain Cab service and CrystalCoat paintjob.
A new update for Black Myth: Wukong is out now and it addresses a key complaint about the recently launched Xbox version. The new update that arrived on September 10 improves the graphics on Xbox Series X, after people and graphics experts said the Series X version didn't deliver the best visuals. This new patch fixes an issue "where graphics appeared blurry on Xbox Series X," developer Game Science said. The studio said global illumination ghosting for the game's Quality and Balance modes was to blame.
According to the developer, the commit numbers and diffstat are entirely in line with expectations. The cycle has also proceeded without surprises so far. Nevertheless, there are a few notable changes, according to Neowin, including a correction for the Intel idpf network driver and improvements in the handling of system registers within arm64 KVM. Torvalds (photo) emphasizes that most of the code changes are minor, often no more than a few lines.
In what Obsidian refers to as a "quick fix" pending more major changes, Grounded 2 is getting a handful of game-repair options to remove a few annoyances. You'll now be able to use the Creature Reset option to move all creatures back to their original locations, and the Buggy Reset to send all Buggies back to the nest, no matter where they were--or what state they were in.
The devs confirmed the sci-fi shooter "will fully utilize DualSense controller features, including haptic feedback and adaptive triggers for deeper player immersion," on Sony's platform.
