Video Game History Foundation's Massive Digital Library Is Now Open To The Public
Briefly

The Video Game History Foundation has officially opened its digital library, offering over 30,000 curated files that chronicle 50 years of video gaming. This non-profit initiative aims to provide free access to researchers, historians, and fans. The library contains out-of-print magazines, development assets, and promotional materials, with more than 1,500 items fully searchable. VGHF founder Frank Cifaldi emphasized the importance of making video game history accessible and preserving industry work. The library features various search tools and notable collections, such as E3 event maps and production footage from the Myst series.
We've been working on this project since we founded the Video Game History Foundation in 2017, so we're extremely proud to start providing access to our digital library and continue our mission to make video game history accessible to anyone.
We believe that with the right tools, anyone can be a video game historian, and we can't wait to see what new stories our archive inspires.
