John Carlson’s recent spell has seen two of his goals disallowed, most notably a recent challenge against the Utah HC where impedance led to a penalty.
Carlson’s confident shot found the back of the net, but a questionable goaltender interference call against teammate Connor McMichael upheld the referee’s decision to disallow.
Ingram's contact with McMichael was minimal, with replays suggesting it was the defender Välimäki who truly impeded the interaction leading to the no-goal.
The Capitals' challenge was a first this season which not only resulted in a disallowed goal but incurred a delay of game penalty.
