The Capitals' playoff game Jayden Daniels attended was his first ever hockey game: 'It was dope'
Briefly

During a playoff game at Capital One Arena, Washington Capitals superstar Alex Ovechkin met with Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels. This interaction took place after the Capitals' 3-1 victory against the Montreal Canadiens. Daniels, attending his first hockey game, received a signed stick from Ovechkin and engaged in light-hearted conversation with him and other Capitals players. The event highlighted the excitement of sports and the camaraderie among top athletes, as they appreciated each other’s presence and support during the playoff atmosphere.
While the superstars were making small talk, Ovechkin asked if Daniels enjoyed the experience. "Yeah, it was fun," he said. "A lot of energy. It was dope. First one ever though."
After the Capitals' 3-1 win, the Commanders were taken down to the locker room where Ovechkin and Daniels got to meet. Daniels told the NHL's all-time leading goal-scorer that this was the first hockey game he's ever been to.
Ovechkin asked Daniels if he enjoyed the experience, and Daniels replied, "Yeah, it was fun... A lot of energy. It was dope."
Ovechkin handed Daniels a signed game-used stick as a memento and later signed Daniels' black Capitol dome jersey, highlighting mutual respect between athletes from different sports.
