Rickshaws near New Delhi railway station carry “Happy Birthday America” signs with President Donald Trump’s portrait and some include “250 Years Old” and the Statue of Liberty. Drivers use the vehicles’ square backs as advertising space, alongside ads for fertility treatments and quick loans promising $100,000 in 24 hours. Vindodh Mathua received a packet of tea bags from a marketing agent to place the sign, and identified the number 250 as America’s birthday. He also associated America with the Mideast war.
