Kevin Winston, Jr. Could Be a Big Part of Fixing the Commanders' Run Defense
Briefly

Kevin Winston, Jr. is a standout safety from Penn State, known for his impressive high school accolades and strong college performances. Despite a partially-torn ACL sidelining him in his junior season, he excelled previously, earning All-Big Ten honors for his tackle leadership. His strengths include size, gameplay recognition, and solid tackling skills. However, weaknesses in man coverage and mobility raise concerns about his versatility in the NFL, projecting him as a mid-round draft pick comparable to Talanoa Hufanga.
I'm lower on Penn State S Kevin Winston Jr. than consensus. He's a big physical athlete, and has nice linear explosiveness. Also a very good open field tackler. My issues are he's very tight in his pedal, hurts COD/impact in deep zone... limited as short zone/robber defender.
Kevin Winston Jr last season: 90.6 Run Defense Grade 86.8 Coverage Grade. ONLY Safety with 85+ Grades in both categories.
