Alex Sarr and Bub Carrington land on NBA all-rookie teams
Briefly

For the first time in more than 60 years, the Washington Wizards celebrated two of their own, Alex Sarr and Bub Carrington, being named to the NBA's all-rookie teams. Sarr, the second overall pick in the 2024 draft, averaged 13 points, 6.5 rebounds and earned first-team honors. Carrington, selected 14th, showcased significant leadership and averaged nearly 10 points and over 4 assists. His memorable buzzer-beater capped a stellar season in which he played all 82 games. This marking the Wizards' first multiple-rookie honor since 1963-64 highlights a significant moment in franchise history.
I'm pretty happy about the way my season went. I'm happy that we got better as a team and really kept starting to build the identity of the Wizards.
That's big. Playing all 82, to end the season the way I did, [I'm] not a rookie anymore. I done played 82 games in this. I done got a game-winner.
