The article highlights the usefulness of smartwatches, particularly the Apple Watch, in managing health for individuals with insomnia and high heart rates. The user emphasizes the convenience it offers over traditional phones, allowing for quick access to notifications, activity tracking, and the ability to locate lost devices. The practicality of having immediate access to vital health statistics and notifications on the wrist contrasts with the effort of pulling out a phone, showcasing the smartwatch's value to daily life.
Not to sound like an Apple cultist, but my Apple Watch forreal. I'm an insomniac with a weirdly high heart rate, so it's really nice to be able to check how long I've slept and what my heart rate is at any given time.
Honestly, just having a watch in general is so useful because it's more convenient to flip my wrist than wrestle my phone out of my pocket.
I can ping my phone when I lose it (often). I can track my activity level. I get to preview notifications.
Having a smartwatch has been so worth it.
