Country star Phil Vassar says he was 'blasted' back to life by first responders after he died twice
Briefly

Phil Vassar, after experiencing a heart attack and stroke while on tour, is relishing a second chance at life. His medical crisis in 2023 was severe, requiring 11 shocks from first responders. During his year in rehab, he gradually regained his abilities, including piano skills he thought he had forgotten. Vassar emphasized the incredible dedication of the emergency team that saved him, and he now aims to improve his health through an altered fitness regimen, including more bike riding and walking.
They brought a piano in my room at rehab and I just sat and looked at it for a while... they said, I just started playing... it kind of came back.
I'm just getting back into the working out. Do more bike riding and walking, get into the weight room a little bit.
