Sinzer, a partner in both Claud and its upstairs sibling, Penny, has moved fluidly between the "natural" and so-called "conventional" scenes with notable repute for over a decade, but throughout his tenure, he's noticed a widening schism. "In my experience, we used to do more of [this], but the wine world in New York has become much more divergent... That gap really started to widen about 10 years ago, and it just kept on widening," he says.
