Amy Poehler is set to star in a new comedy series titled "Dig," which has been picked up by Peacock. The series, based on Kate Myers' novel "Excavations," tells the story of four women at an archeological site in Greece who uncover a secret with historical implications, placing them at the center of an international conspiracy. Poehler and Mike Schur will co-write the pilot and serve as executive producers. This collaboration comes a decade after their previous success with "Parks and Recreation," marking a significant reunion for both.

"I love the idea of digging things up, things being buried. It's about women descending on an archeological dig site," Poehler told Meyers.
Poehler also named it one of her favorite books that she read last year in an interview on Late Night with Seth Meyers, further showcasing her enthusiasm for the source material.
Poehler and Schur's latest venture, Dig, marks their first collaboration since Parks and Recreation, offering a nostalgic return to the screen for fans of their earlier work.
