A ceasefire brokered by the US began on June 24, halting the intense conflict between Israel and Iran after 12 days of hostilities. Iran initiated the truce, with Israel following twelve hours later. Israel's military said a soldier, identified as 18-year-old Eitan Zacks from Beersheba, was killed as a result of a missile launched from Iran.
