Qatar's emir holds talks with Iran's president

They acknowledged their strong bilateral relations and the significance of economic ties. Additionally, Iran expressed gratitude for Qatar's mediation in the ceasefire between Hamas and Israel. Sheikh Tamim's schedule included a meeting with Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, indicating the visit’s high diplomatic significance.
We heard the two leaders put an emphasis on the necessity of peace in the region [and] on the necessity of expanding [economic] ties, Asadi said.
Sheikh Tamim said, 'We confirmed the necessity of exploring more chances in the field of the economy and trade between our both countries.'
