Trump said there is no real reason to continue the war against Iran, framing his continued fighting as driven by public relations and a need to feel good. In a Fox News interview, he responded to a question about retrieving Iran’s enriched uranium by claiming it would be difficult for either Iranians or U.S. troops to access the material. He described a June bomber raid on three sites encased inside a mountain, saying the mountain collapsed and buried nuclear dust under heavy granite rubble. He added that the sites are monitored by nine cameras 24 hours a day and that nobody has gotten close. He said he would feel better if the uranium were retrieved, but characterized the motivation as public relations rather than anything else.
