The article describes the author's journey to find the perfect vanity for their makeup routine. After an unsuccessful attempt with a small, dull piece, the author found a large vintage mirror which inspired them to revamp an IKEA dressing table. By measuring and creatively thinking like their resourceful father, they assembled the table and sought wood to mount the new mirror. This project emphasizes the importance of personalization in furniture selection and the value of DIY approaches.
In my quest for the perfect vanity, I learned that sometimes the best solutions are found through creativity and a willingness to repurpose what you already have.
Through trial and error, I transformed an ordinary IKEA dressing table into a stunning vanity that reflects my personality and gives me the space I need to get ready.
