Inside MSNBC Host Rachel Maddow's Remote Farmhouse Hideaway-and the Unique 'Bathhouse' Oasis She's Built on Its Grounds
Briefly

MSNBC host Rachel Maddow vocally criticized her network's decision to let go of Joy Reid amid significant programming changes. On-air, she expressed deep regret over Reid's departure, calling it a 'bad mistake,' particularly highlighting the lack of diversity as both nonwhite hosts in primetime were dismissed. Maddow noted the impact of layoffs on producers and staff, describing the treatment of staff as inefficient and unnecessary, which touches upon broader concerns within the organization about employee welfare and inclusivity.
I do not want to lose her as a colleague here at MSNBC, and personally, I think it is a bad mistake to let her walk out the door.
I will tell you. It is also unnerving to see that on a network where we've got two-count them-two nonwhite hosts in primetime, both of our nonwhite hosts in primetime are losing their shows.
It's not the right way to treat people. And it's inefficient and it's unnecessary, and it kind of drops the bott.
That's what I think. It feels worse than bad, no matter who replaces them. That feels indefensible. And I do not defend it.
