Allan transformed his guest room into a home office after starting a remote job. The office is spacious and equipped with a desk and personal collectibles. Meanwhile, his wife, who is very creative but cramped in her smaller craft room, insists on taking his larger office space for her projects. Allan suggested alternative solutions, but she firmly wants the bigger room, leading to disagreements about space allocation in their home.
I started a new job last year that allowed me to work from home most days. Soon after, I turned our main guest room into my office.
I could have moved into one of the smaller rooms but was somewhat excited to have my own space complete with a three monitor desk setup, a comfy couch and several shelves of figurines I've collected/painted.
I recommended she use the small room to set up a secondary desk and storage, I figured this could be nice since she often has several projects going at once.
She insisted that I move my office into one of the smaller rooms and let her have my current room so that our guests wouldn't have to sleep in a small space.
