Casolare Biordo Vecchio occupies a hillside setting in Asolo and results from the regeneration of an old rural building into a contemporary residence. The building’s original authenticity is preserved through careful retention of materiality and character while modern functions and comforts are integrated. Spatial arrangements and interventions respect the existing fabric, maintaining visual and physical connections to the surrounding landscape. Contemporary elements are introduced in a measured way to enhance habitability without erasing historical traces. The balance of conservation and adaptation extends the life and usability of the rural structure within its context.
