Doa Residential Building / White Cube Atelier
"In a context where urban density makes it difficult to breathe and where borders are in possession and appropriation, "Doa House" attempts to attend as a quiet pause in the fast-paced flow of the city."
"The volumes have been moved not for show, but based on need and necessity; Every subtraction and addition is a response to the light that must pass through and a facilitator for a look that touches the horizon through the glass."
Doa House provides a quiet pause within a densely built urban environment where density makes breathing difficult and borders assert possession and appropriation. Volumes are shifted not for display but according to functional need and necessity, generating interstitial spaces that moderate flow and experience. Every subtraction and addition is designed to admit and shape daylight, allowing light to penetrate deep into the plan and animate interiors. Glazed openings are composed to frame views that reach the horizon, visually extending rooms beyond their physical limits. The design prioritizes restraint and responsiveness, using controlled massing, light, and framed vistas to create breathing room amid fast-paced city life.
