The concept takes the instantly recognizable form of an open book, a symbol as timeless as the act of reading itself.

Installing rooflights can transform dim or enclosed spaces, bringing more light and a sense of openness to various home styles, from modern to period designs.

"This house is the perfect combination of a Sea Ranch cabin and a midcentury post-and-beam, filtered through a Japanese lens," says Duncombe, a marketing executive and sculptor. "When the sunlight dances on the walls and furniture, the whole place comes alive."
