The Student Meadow project by GORA reimagines a former grazing field along the Knyaginka River into a multi-functional public space prioritizing student involvement. The design accommodates educational activities, with different zones curated by Knyagininsky University institutes. The meadow serves as an open-air classroom and gathering place during the day, while at night it hosts light installations and performances. Key to the design is the 'Tower,' which provides facilities for lectures and stargazing, contributing to community engagement and enhancing the educational landscape.
The design responds to the town's demographic context, where approximately 20 percent of residents are university students, positioning education and student involvement at the core of the intervention.
GORA's approach preserves the meadow's open, natural character while introducing a flexible program that adapts to seasonal and daily changes in use.
