gridded ceiling tops zooco estudio's oak and travertine regma ice cream parlor
Briefly

Regma ice cream parlor on Calle Burgos, designed by Zooco Estudio, showcases a reinterpretation of the brand's identity through geometric forms, materials, and colors. Central to its design is a rotated square geometry that maintains visual cohesion across various elements. The storefront features timber-framed windows and fluted columns, creating symmetry with its urban environment. Inside, an oak lattice ceiling defines the space and casts dynamic shadows. The material palette includes travertine marble and oak, which reflect the brand's foundational values of natural ingredients and a warm color sensibility.
A single geometric figure, the rotated square, underpins the entire composition, anchoring visual continuity across timber ceilings, floors, and the street-facing facade.
The timber-framed windows are set within two fluted columns to create a symmetrical front that respects its urban context.
This gridded ceiling becomes the main organizational tool, introducing a visual rhythm and providing the structure from which pendant lights and signage are suspended.
Zooco Estudio's material palette leans heavily on travertine marble, which lines Regma's counters, lower walls, and floors in creamy, softly veined tones.
