La Fleche Residence / MU Architecture
Briefly

The residence is built on a steep mountainside, spreading over two levels and more than 700 square meters. The construction involved blasting rock to create usable land, with repurposed material utilized for retaining walls and landscaping. Careful management of water runoff from the mountainside was necessary around the 40-meter-long structure. Landscaping promotes the regrowth of local vegetation, while environmental regulations in Lac-Tremblant-Nord prohibit visible exterior lighting to protect wildlife. MU Architecture designed a roofline that offers a grand look while hiding a lower garden level, reflecting elegance and restraint in their design philosophy.
Set on a dramatically steep site, the residence unfolds across two levels, totaling over 700 square meters, with landscaping that reclaims natural vegetation.
Blasting through rock at the compact, buildable area allowed repurposing of materials for landscaping and retaining walls, addressing strict environmental regulations in the area.
