The Farmhouse care home, located in Wingletye Lane, received a 'requires improvement' rating following a January inspection by the CQC. Previously rated 'inadequate' in December 2023, the home faced scrutiny after a serious incident involving a service user. Although a follow-up inspection noted improvements in risk assessments and safeguarding measures, it still maintained its 'requires improvement' ratings for caring and responsiveness. The report highlighted enhanced processes to safeguard against abuse, with family members expressing satisfaction with the care provided by staff for residents with learning disabilities.
During our last assessment, we found robust processes were not in place to safeguard people from abuse. During this assessment, we found improvements had been made.
CQC inspectors also reviewed records as part of their site visit, finding that safeguarding concerns were reviewed and appropriate action taken where required.
