The new health safety inspection program allows food truck owners in Austin to avoid costly closures by getting on-site inspections, supporting local businesses.
"Rodent droppings were found on bucket lids stored on a shelf near the back door... If evidence of pest infestation is observed on the next scheduled inspection, a Stop Sale Order of all food items will be issued."
Though he declined to elaborate on the record, a work crew member expressed sadness over the restaurant's demise, recognizing it as an icon whose quiet end - while not a total surprise - was still abrupt.
"We take the health and safety of Detroit residents very seriously," said Chief Public Health Officer Denise Fair Razo. "Through the Dining with Confidence Ordinance and our ongoing inspections, we are working to ensure that our city's restaurants are safe, clean, and meet the highest food safety standards."
