This Dated Kitchen Makeover Feels Straight Out of a Paris Bistro
"The goal of the remodel was to create a room that was unique. The way the slabs come together above our stove showcases the unique veining, creating a beautiful moment of natural artistry."
"The existing stone floor tile is gold, very earthy with a lot of movement. We wanted a veined marble, so particular care was put into the stone selection."
A burst pipe in Josh Levinson's 1950s New Jersey home kitchen necessitated cabinet repairs and countertop removal, prompting a complete kitchen refresh 16 years after the previous renovation. Levinson, CEO of Artistic Tile, selected Paonazzo Marble for countertops and full-height backsplashes to showcase dramatic stone artistry. Designer Shelley Cekirge guided the renovation, creating a luxe color scheme of white, cream, and gold punctuated by purple and rust veining in the marble. Stone selection required careful consideration to complement existing gold, earthy stone floors with significant movement throughout the kitchen, dining area, and entry.
