Hannah Moody, a 31-year-old hiker, was found dead near a trailhead parking lot in the McDowell Sonoran Preserve after a significant search effort by local police. Friends reported her missing after not hearing from her following her last sighting at the Gateway Trailhead area. Search operations began quickly, but were paused overnight. Her body was ultimately discovered just 600 yards off the trail from her vehicle. The investigation remains active, with authorities indicating no signs of foul play and awaiting the Medical Examiner's determination on her cause of death.
