It's been an adventurous three decades for The World and we're glad to have you with us as we celebrate our 30th anniversary. In this special New Year's show, we highlight some of our reporting over the years. We bring you a discussion with Neil Curry, who helped create the show and was The World's first executive producer, as well as a conversation with our reporters Matthew Bell and Shirin Jafaari, who discuss how their coverage of major global news evolved after 9/11.

Sublime will perform their 1996 self-titled album in its entirety at the famed Red Rocks Amphitheatre on April 17th in celebration of the multiplatinum LP's 30th anniversary. The concert will be the first of a two-night stand at the Morrison, Colorado venue, where they'll also play a greatest-hits show on April 18th. Tickets go on sale this Friday, November 14th via AXS.

Next year marks the 30th anniversary of the Golden Hinde replica sailing ship arriving in Southwark, and they're planning a year of events. Among the events they're planning is a 30 Years in the Dock Memory Project, gathering stories, photographs, and memories from former crew members, local residents, alumni, and visitors who have been part of the ship's journey since that day in 1996.
