The incident happened around 12:50 a.m. on Sept. 2 in the 400 block of Minnesota Avenue, near Willow Street, San Jose police spokesperson Stacie Shih said in a news release Tuesday. Officers arrived at the scene to find evidence of a shooting but no victims, Shih said. While investigating the incident, officers located a pair of victims a man and a woman and their car, which was riddled with bullet holes, Shih said.
Ian Fotheringham, of Falmouth, is charged with threatened use of a deadly weapon in a public building, Cape and Islands District Attorney Robert Galibois announced Friday. He pleaded not guilty in court and was held without bail pending a dangerous hearing. In late August, Fotheringham was reported to police after he "indicated that he wanted to shoot up a school," the DA alleged.
