The wooden folding chairs are just what I was looking for. For starters, their stylish silhouette is crafted out of real, birch-finished wood (they come in a dark wood option, too), giving them a cool, Scandinavian vibe. Meanwhile, the wide legs and minimalist details, like the circular cutouts and the linen-like upholstery, deliver an extra cool factor. Complete with a high rectangular back and cushioned seat, they're surprisingly comfortable, too.
Usually, outrageous price tags are associated with beautiful furniture - but the savviest shoppers know that doesn't need to be the case. Big-box retailers like Walmart continuously turn that narrative on its head (including iconic collaborations with Drew Barrymore) by offering pieces that are just as fabulous and on-trend as those high-end brands that charge clients thousands of dollars for similar looks.
In a world where homes are increasingly filled with curated, vintage pieces - some very expensive - it's natural to assume that those get all the attention. And while thrifting and sourcing add meaning to inanimate objects and share a reflection of you, sometimes it's the most unexpected items that take the spotlight. But out of all the beautiful bits and bobs in Hollis' home, one item gets asked about the most. "Hands-down, my Wayfair burlwood credenza," she explained at the time of the House Tour.
