AC Milan are currently expected to be without star man Christian Pulisic for Saturday's game at San Siro against Lazio. As La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below) report this morning, there's some concern at Milan regarding Pulisic's condition, as he pulled out of training yesterday with muscle discomfort in the second session since his derby heroics on Sunday. It's unlikely to be anything serious for the American, but the situation will be monitored with the utmost caution given his importance.
Alexis Saelemaekers played a starring role for Belgium as they beat Liechtenstein 7-0 on Tuesday night, securing their World Cup spot. The goal Saelemaekers scored was a rather fortunate one as a long range strike from Youri Tielemans was parried up in the air by the goalkeeper, with the winger on hand to tuck in the rebound. The Milan man would go on to get an assist too as the Red Devils booked their place at the 2026 World Cup in some style, eventually scoring seven goals.
There were quite a few talking points from the game against Roma this weekend, and AC Milan's Alexis Saelemaekers was at the heart of one. One talking point led to another. Paulo Dybala stepped up, but his penalty was saved by Mike Maignan. Then, Saelemaekers turned and celebrated, which some may have perceived to be in the referee's face. Nevertheless, his act of celebrating should not be considered to be a factor which plays into things.
AC Milan could be without Alexis Saelemaekers for a short period as he suffered an injury while playing for Belgium. As was confirmed by the Belgian national team's official account, Saelemakers has suffered an injury and will be unavailable for the match against Wales next week. As a result, he will leave the camp and return to Milanello. Gianluca Di Marzio reports that it is a strained muscle that he has suffered.
