It's absolutely true that there were great champions [at Milan], but at the heart of everything was the game that these champions knew how to interpret to perfection. How many teams made up of champions haven't followed the same path as us? Many, many. I remember, because I had firsthand experience, that when I went to Real Madrid, this was the attack: Beckham, Raul, Ronaldo the Phenomenon, Zidane, and Figo.
There is no reason to be concerned about Leao's condition, at least not from a new perspective. When he left for international duty, the Portuguese was not 100% and his time away has only proved that further. With him not playing in their second game of the break, he was given permission to return to Milano early, something which could please Massimiliano Allegri.
"There's competition [for Nkunku]. If everyone is available, I have to make some choices. Nkunku has had some injuries, and he's changed teams. He needs to find consistency, and that's not easy with injuries. "He's capable of playing in different attacking positions, centrally, but also on the flank. He has volume, technical mastery. He's quite skilled in front of the goal."
By all accounts, Massimiliano Allegri will have to do without his favourite Alexis Saelemaekers against Fiorentina next week. That begs the question, which player will the manager choose to replace the Belgian? Saelemaekers sustained a muscle injury a few days ago while on international duty with Belgium. A return to Milanello has already been scheduled and Milan will then carry out some in-depth tests, but there's already talk of two games on the sidelines.
Massimiliano Allegri's men have conceded just three goals this season, two of which came in the opener against Cremonese and one against Napoli. Roma have done one better with two goals conceded, but in terms of defensive stats, the Rossoneri lead the line. As highlighted by Sky Italia, Milan have made sure not to give their opponents many chances to find the back of the net. Even in exposed situations, such as the opponent winning back the ball in the attacking half, the Rossoneri have been able to keep them at bay.
Filippo Inzaghi believes that the Scudetto race could go down to the wire this season, with multiple teams fighting for it, but AC Milan hold an advantage of sorts. It has been a strong start to the season for Milan with 13 points in six games, currently sitting in third place. If they had converted their chances against Juventus, they would have been in first place, so there are many positives to take for Max Allegri.
Arsenal are interested in Bartesaghi. There have been no offers. Bartesaghi is a player who has received high praise from former AC Milan players. He has a contract until 2030. There haven't been any offers yet, but there will be some Arsenal scouts at the Allianz Stadium on Sunday evening to follow Bartesaghi. Let's not forget that Arsenal have already been scouting, signing, and scouting Calafiori in the Italian league. They're following Bartesaghi.
Chelsea were heavily linked with Mike Maignan from AC Milan in recent months. However, the Blues failed to sign the French International goalkeeper during the summer transfer window. They could relaunch a move for the experienced goalkeeper. According to a report via AS Roma Live, the Blues are now confident of completing the deal to sign the goalkeeper. They need more quality in that area of the pitch.
AC Milan and Inter Milan passed a major hurdle in owning their own stadium after the city council approved the sale of San Siro to the clubs early Tuesday after a nearly 12-hour overnight debate. The vote to sell the existing stadium and the surrounding areas was passed 24-20 at about 3 a.m. The clubs plan to tear down the 99-year-old stadium and jointly build a new 71,500-seat arena.
AC Milan and Inter Milan say they are "very pleased" after the city council approved the sale of the San Siro, a move that could lead to the iconic stadium being demolished. A sale of the two Milan clubs' home was approved after a lengthy overnight vote, with debates taking place for almost 12 hours. The approval could lead to the 99-year-old ground and its surrounding areas being sold to both clubs for 197m euros (172m), but it still needs to be officially confirmed by the city government.
