The Alexa.com website appears to be live for some users. The browser-based home for Alexa Plus, the company's revamped digital voice assistant, was first announced at the Alexa Plus launch event in February. But until recently, Alexa.com redirected to an information page. Now, some users, myself included, are seeing a new Alexa Plus web interface. This morning, when I typed Alexa.com into my web browser, it took me to a page that resembled the Alexa Plus chatbot in the Alexa app. (I was already logged into my Amazon.com account.)

Since major retailers are competing for your business, a majority of the time you can get the same deal at a retailer of your choice. For many, has become the go-to place to shop soup to nuts, including popular tech. And during Cyber Week, I faced a dilemma. For weeks, I was scoping out the Hisense Canvas 65-inch TV , waiting for a deal.

While the recap suggests Amazon's AI system can successfully combine clips, music and dialogue into a coherent video, it apparently lacks an understanding of the details. The inaccuracies in this recap won't prevent anyone from enjoying the second season of the show, but they don't exactly inspire confidence in Amazon's tool either. But recently, the upper limits of what they charge have evidently exploded far beyond long-outrageous multiples. Disclosures show that two union busters, including one hired by Amazon, recently set new records for the highest hourly and daily rates.

As we get ready to jump into the final month of 2025, S&P 500 futures are rallying. Up about 11 points, it's getting set to wrap up what's been a very volatile month. Meanwhile, the SPDR S&P 500 (SPY) is up about $1.65 this morning. The Dow Jones is up about 53, with the NASDAQ up about 72. Granted, we had a rough start to the day. All after CME trading came to a standstill following a cooling issue at one of its data centers.

Meta Platforms and Amazon could surpass the current combined market value of Nvidia and Palantir by the end of the decade. Over the past year, Nvidia shares have advanced 33%, bringing its market value to $4.3 trillion. Meanwhile, Palantir Technologies shares has advanced 155%, bringing its market value to $395 billion. In aggregate, the companies are worth about $4.7 trillion. Apple could certainly surpass that figure within five years, but I also have confidence in Meta Platforms and Amazon .

Over 1,000 Amazon employees have anonymously signed an open letter warning that the company's allegedly "all-costs-justified, warp-speed approach to AI development" could cause "staggering damage to democracy, to our jobs, and to the earth," an internal advocacy group announced on Wednesday. Four members of Amazon Employees for Climate Justice tell WIRED that they began asking workers to sign the letter last month.

Amazon recently issued $15 billion in debt, including a rare 40-year bond, and saw demand approach $80 billion - more than five times oversubscribed . Investors accepted yields only about 80 basis points above comparable U.S. Treasuries, effectively treating Amazon as quasi-sovereign credit despite the long maturity. This level of demand is extraordinary for a private company raising funds for aggressive capital expenditures.
